Hello, my name is Marlena Main—you can also call me Ms. M.
I am 39 years old and the mother of two young adult children, a son Robert and a daughter Hannah. Hannah was born blind and inspired me to become a teacher.
I have three associate degrees from Eastern Gateway Community College: Early Childhood Education, Middle Childhood Education and Intervention Specialist. I also have a dual bachelor degree from Franciscan University in Early Education and Intervention Specialist with a reading endorcement for middle school. I have 5+ years experience in a supervisory position and 10+ years of experience working with Head Start. I have training in the areas of licensing overview, family engagement, performance standards, mental health risk management, education and school readiness, trauma informed care and conscious discipline training. I am dedicated to working with both our staff and the families we serve.
I am new to the western Pennsylvania area and excited to learn and grow personally and professionally at St. Margaret Mary Child Care Center.
