We will be bringing back the tradition of the 7-Church Walk on Holy Thursday. The church walk is an early tradition of the church where the faithful visited the seven major basilicas of Rome. The tradition was revived for the Jubilee Year of 1300 by Pope Boniface as Rome became the center of pilgrimages.
This year we will leave following the 7:00 PM Mass on Holy Thursday at the St. Joseph site. The bus will leave from St. Joseph at approximately 8:10PM and return around midnight. We are hoping to visit the churches that make up the Shrines of Pittsburgh: St. Patrick’s and St. Stanislaus (Strip District), Immaculate Heart of Mary (Polish Hill), St. Anthony’s Chapel and Most Holy Name of Jesus (Troy Hill) and St. Nicholas (Millvale). Contact Brenden in the Music Office with any questions.
The maximum number of people we can fit on the bus has already registered; however, we have created a waiting list below and will contact you if anyone cancels and a spot becomes available. Thank you!
